The Golden Gauloise, whose male is called the Gallic Rooster, is a medium-sized breed that has retained some of its original character traits. For example, it can still fly for several meters, which is rare these days among domestic chicken breeds. Note: "Gallus" in Latin means both "rooster" and "Gallic".
